Tai Chi both Continuing regular and Seated
The Seated Set – These classes are specialized for people who have health problems such as lack of mobility, poor circulation, stress or injuries. The gentle range of motion exercises the body in a way so that all can participate. A better quality of life is paramount. Learn the “seated mini set” of 17 moves from the 108 Moving Meditations, in the tradition of Master Moy Lin-shin, in addition to exercises which stretch the back and spine to improve overall flexibility, balance, and strength. Movements taught in this class can help to increase circulation and lymph flow, as well as to open the joints and stretch the tendons and ligaments. This class is for general relaxation and is beneficial to everyone. Recent studies indicate that Tai Chi may help with a range of medical issues including Parkinson’s, MS, Fibromyalgia, Arthritis, Asthma, and rehabilitation from hip and knee replacements.
