Nanaimo Concert Band Free Concert in the Park

CONCERT THEME: CANADA!
Canada – the birthplace of basketball, insulin, Superman, Nanaimo Bars, and Diana
Krall. And like Diana Krall, there are hundreds of world class Canadian musicians living
and performing at home and abroad. This July 14, we want to celebrate the music of
Canada – music about Canada, music written by Canadians, and music performed by
Canadians. From The Guess Who to Moe Koffman to marches for Canadian
Regiments, the Nanaimo Concert Band has Canadian music covered coast to coast.
Bring your lawn chairs to the Lions band shell at Maffeo Sutton Park and wear red! The
concert starts at 6:30pm.
